NOTE: notes taken from courses & studies on eschatology.
I’ve read through the Bible many times, twice with this
theme in mind in order to see it in its entire context.
1. GENTILE AGE (Gen.1-11)
Gen.1:1-31 - world created
Gen.2 – 3 - man sins
Gen.3:15 - because they brought sin into the world,
. through Adam & Eve’s descendants would
. come salvation’s answer
Gen.6 – 9 - flood, judgment on earth
Gen.9:8-17 - God’s COVENANT never to use a flood
. again to destroy the earth
Duet.31:26 - “OLD COVENANT”/Mosaic Law
. (includes 10 commandments)
. - this convicted Israel of her sins
Gal.3:24 - foreshadowed Christ, but didn’t save
. - helped people get along
2. JEWISH AGE (Gen. 12-gospels)
. (2148 B.C.)
Gen.12:1-3 - ABRAHAMIC COVENANT
. (ownership is unconditional Is.1:18-20)
Gen.15:18-21 - a) PALESTINIAN COVENANT
. = Israelites’ land, (to live on it
. requires obedience to old covenant)
2Sam.7:1-16 - b) DAVIDIC COVENANT
. = seed, throne (requires obedient ruler)
Heb.10:16-28 - c) NEW COVENANT
. = blessings physical & spiritual
. (-brings perfect ruler [JESUS] who...)
. (-brings perfect obedience [HOLY SPIRIT])
. (-covenant to be fulfilled in Millennium)
NOTE: - “one week” = 7 prophetic years
. - prophetic year = 360 days
Dan.9:24-27 - Israel is given 490 years TOTAL from
. this point on to complete the Jewish Age.
. The TOTAL is split into 3 sections.
. (445 B.C. – SECTION 1 of Jewish Age)
Dan.9:25 7 weeks (7 sets of 7) = 49 years,
Neh.2:1-8 - starting at DECREE to rebuild Jerusalem
Neh.6:15 - which included the wall
Ezra 6:13 - and included the temple
. (396 B.C. – SECTION 2 of Jewish Age)
Dan.9:25 62 weeks (62 sets of 7) = 434 years,
Is.53:8 - cut off at the completion of Jerusalem
Matt.2:1, and
Matt.21:1-17 - 1st ADVENT, BIRTH OF CHRIST to PALM SUNDAY
NOTE: 7 weeks + 62 weeks = 69 weeks (1 week left) / (or)
. 49 + 434 = 483... 490 – 483 = 7 years
. (there are 7 years left to complete Jewish Age,
. which will happen after the Church Age)
3. CHURCH AGE /AGE OF GRACE/GENTILE AGE/KINGDOM OF GOD/
. KINGDOM OF GOD/NEW COVENANT (Dan.9:26)

Luke 23-24 CHRIST’S DEATH, RESURRECTION, ASCENSION
Mt.24:2 - Babylon/Roman Empire destroys Jerusalem

Matt.24:36 - only God knows when rapture will happen
Mark 13:32 - even as this refers to His 2nd coming...

1Thess.5:9 - Church/Christians are saved
. from wrath to come

1Thess.5:3 - while men are saying “peace & safety”,
. destruction will come on THEM
. like birth pangs (not on the Church)
NOTE: This peace and safety could be:
. - the only “sign,”
. meaning “when you least expect it”
. - OR it could be a brief feeling
. the unbelievers have right after the
. Church is raptured (& out of the way).
. IE. Now they can do what they want
. without the feeling of being “judged.”
. IE. The war between the Christians
. and the Muslims would end.
Romans 11:25 - once all the people here on earth
. have become Christians who are to
. become Christians during the Church Age
. (fullness of the Gentiles), then the
. rapture will happen, and God will once
. again focus on the nation of Israel
4. RAPTURE (NOT Jesus coming to earth)
. (1Thess.4:13-18)
. (could happen at any time)
1Thess.5:2 and
Rev.3:3 - like a thief in the night, NO warning
1Thess.4:15 - shout & trumpet, dead/asleep in Christ
. will rise first

Rev.3:10 - b) to test and judge the nations
Rev.12:9-10 - c) to address the spiritual battle
. with Satan’s army
. EVENTS OF TRIBULATION:
Matt.24:13-14 - 144,000 Jews are sealed
. - so that there will be obedient Jews
. still alive to enter the Millennium,
. – these will be witnessing during Trib.
. as originally “chosen” to do)
Matt.24:34 - “this generation” (Israel) will survive
. the 7 years (they are sealed/protected)
1Thess.5:3 - destruction comes like birth pangs,
. suddenly (Matt.24:8)
Mt.24:4-13 and
Rev.4-18 - 1st PAINS / 1st HALF (3 1/2 years)
. - signs that the end of the Jewish age
. and Christ’s Second Coming is near
Rev.11:1-19 - the 2 witnesses (prophet-like people,

Dan.9:27 - “Covenant of the Beast” with Israel

. he is their Messiah in attempts
. of thwarting God’s plan)

. - Beast puts his image in their temple,
. trying to set himself up as God

Matt.24:14 - the gospel is preached in all the world,
. then the end of the age
NOTE: Matt.24:3, disciples ask Jesus what the signs are
. for the end of the [Jewish] age: for His 2nd Coming
. - when Jesus will get their land back,
. - when Jesus will take the throne as their King,
. - and when their covenants will be fulfilled
. These signs will help open the eyes of the
. Israelites so they will believe, be obedient,
. and have hope that their Messiah is coming.

(who brings Jesus to the world);

. Groom goes to bride’s home

. then takes her to his house
. for the wedding feast later at night.

Rev.19:8 - Bride is ready, bright and clean

. at the Bema Seat)

Rev.20:3 - Satan is released right at the end
. of the Millennium
Rev.20:7-9 - THE LAST BATTLE
. - those who are deceived join Satan’s side
