CREATION – written by Tanis Harms
TOPIC: creation, purpose to honor God
SCRIPTURE: Gen.1:1-2:25, Eph.2:10, 4:24, Col.1:16
Style: speak theater/conversation: a layout
. of creation and man’s purpose
Cast: PEOPLE 1-7, or if you had 8 actors,
. you could have one person do the intro,
. and each person could do a “day”.
NOTE: You could make this more interesting
. by having photos up on the screen,
. and/or dancer/s with impressionist dancing,
. and/or (if actors took specific days) they
. could be dressed to represent the day, etc.
REMEMBER: No matter how you present this,
. deliver the words with great meaning,
. as if reading a poem, and don’t be afraid
. to leave poignant pauses in some places.
SCRIPT:
P 1 In the beginning.
P 2 There was God.
P 3 Eternal love – and Creator.
. Who has always been – and always will be.
P 4 And there was earth.
P 5 Formless.
P 6 Void.
P 7 Dark.
P 1 On the first day.
P 2 God said it, and it was, and it was good.
P 3 There was light.
P 4 The light separated from the darkness.
P 5 Day and night.

P 7 One day.
P 1 On the second day.
P 2 God said it, and it was, and it was good.
P 3 The waters were separated.
P 4 There was water on the earth.
P 5 And there was a canopy of water in the heavens.

P 2 God said it, and it was, and it was good.
P 3 Areas of water.
P 4 Areas of dry land.
P 5 Vegetation, plants, and fruit trees.
P 6 Evening and morning.

P 3 Lights of the universe.
P 4 Stars and planets. The sun and the moon.
P 5 Day and night, seasons and years.
P 6 Evening and morning.

P 4 Birds and creatures of the air.
P 5 They were blessed to multiply.

P 4 Man and woman – in God’s image.
. Blessed to multiply, and govern the earth.
P 5 This - in God’s eyes - was very good.

P 1 On the seventh day.
P 2 God rested.
P 3 God is the example to follow for all mankind,
. who was created -
P 4 Created in God’s image.
P 5 Created with purpose.
P 6 Created to use and enjoy and
. respect God’s creation.
P 7 Created to worship and honor, love and glorify,
. in sweet fellowship with God, the Creator,
. in sweet fellowship with God, the heavenly Father.
